How it works?
Your booking fee will include food, drink and transportation during your course. It also includes entry to attractions and activities i.e. museums, exhibitions etc. The fee does not include your accommodation or your evening meals.

Typical week (Option A)

Arrival Day
You will be collected from the airport, train or bus station and dropped off at your accommodation. Once you have unpacked you will be introduced to local area and we will chat about our week ahead in local cafe or bar. (2 hours)
Day 1
I will meet you at your accommodation in the morning. We will take a trip to the picturesque local town of Harrogate, calling in to shops, galleries, museums - according to your interests.
Stopping for tea, coffee and snacks is essential! Together we will work on written and vocabulary skills during this time. Digesting the mornings activities.
I will provide you reading work and guidance ahead of our trip the next day(4-5 hours)
Day 2
In the morning we will travel to York where we will visit the famous York Minster, York City Walls, The Shambles and other places of specific interest to you.
We will call in to Betty’s Tea Rooms for a tradition afternoon English tea and share our experience whilst working on written and reading skills. During this time you will be expected to complete grammar work with either a textbook or worksheets. (5 hours)
Day 3
Option A: a trip to London or Edinburgh by train (2 hour train journey). Visiting places of interest; the day will be made to suit you. We will stop off at cafes, bars and restaurants to complete more written and reading work (8 hours).
Option B: a trip to local towns of either Boroughbridge, Ripon or Pateley Bridge and countryside of Nidderdale for a more rural day out. Seek out local artists and their works. Chatting, reading and writing (6 hours)
Day 4
Day trip to Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby or Scarborough to experience the English seaside. Will include a Fish and Chip lunch and a walk along the beach and around the town.
Written work using either textbook or sheets while enjoying a hot or cold drink.
Suggestions for a documentary or film for you to watch in the evening so that we can discuss the next day (6 hours).
Day 5
Finally, we will spend the day at my residence. We will talk about the history of the area and walk around the local parkland and gardens. We can visit the small local church. We will cook some traditional British food in my kitchen followed by a pot of tea and cake. I will invite another friend over too so we can all chat together. We will work with recipe books, gardening magazines and newspapers, etc.
At the end of the afternoon I will take you back to your accommodation (5-6 hours)
Rest of your stay will be your own free time
I will arrange transport back to airport/station for your journey home.
